Tag Ho



TAG HO

This tutorial was written
by Sarah Fiack on
June 19,2011
Any resemblance to another
tutorial is purely coincidental.
For this tutorial, I’m using
a tube by Keith Garvey
You can find his tubes at
PTE

Supplies:
Tube of choice
Xero Radiance Filter
Forum Mask 27 by
Lithium Flower Here

Open a 600x250 new image.
Open a tube of choice.

Fill your new image with
a color of choice from the
tube you are using.

Select your font tool.
Foreground stroke color black
Fill is null.
Stroke width 1

Using a block type font,
type out TAG HO or
words of choice.
Enlarge as needed.
Object Align
Center In Canvas.

Convert to raster.
Now using your
magic wand tool,
select inside each letter
of the word
or words.

You may have to hold
the shift button down to
select multiple areas.
Selections modify expand by 1

Paste your tube close-up
twice as new layers.
Arrange so the close-up
fills the inside of the letters.
Selection invert & press delete.
Select none.
Move close-up layer under word
layer.

Apply Xero Radiace to the
close-up layer.
Strangeness 128
Charm 50
Truth 128
Beauty 255

Add a new raster layer above
your filled background layer.
Fill with a darker color
then the original background color.

Apply forum mask 27
Merge group.
Paste your tube as new layer.
Position as wanted on the tag.
Move the layer to under the
two word layers.

Lower the opacity of the word layers
to about 65
Add a drop shadow to both
the tube & word outline layers.
2,2,50,5 Black.

Merge layers visible.
Add copyrigh info & name.
Save as jpeg or png.
