Red Hot Valentine

Red Hot Valentine

This tutorial was written

For this tutorial, I’m using
The art of Jessica Dougherty
You can purchase her artwork at

Tube of choice.
Scrap of choice.
I’m using one by Artmama
Called Red Hot Valentine
It is a PTU kit.

Open your tube & scrap supplies.
Open up a new 600x600 new image.

Choose a heart link ribbon type element.
Resize 80%
Paste as a new layer.

Now click in the first heart with your
magic wand. Hold shift down to
select in the remaining hearts.
Selections modify expand 1

Paste paper of choice as a new layer.
Selections invert & press delete.
Select none.
Move the paper layer under the
heart layer.
Add a drop shadow to the heart layer.
2,2,50,5 black

Paste your tube as a new layer.
In the layer palette, move the tube layer
to under both heart layers.
Arrange in center of the tag.

Open a small heart tile frame.
Click inside with magic wand.
Selections modify expand 2
Paste paper of choice.
Selections invert & press delete.

Paste tube between paper &
frame layers. Press delete.
Select none.

Copy merged & paste onto your
tag image.
Move to the bottom layer in your
layer palette.
Rotate 45 left
Duplicate once & mirror.
You want the heart frames to appear
behind your main tube.
Add a drop shadow to both.

Open a red flower of choice.
Paste on the bottom layer & arrange
so that its coming up above one
of the heart frames.
Duplicate once & mirror.

Merge the 2 flower layers together.
Duplicate & flip.
You might have to arrange the flipped
layer slightly to appear from below
the heart frames.

Choose a button element of choice.
Resize 50%
Paste on one of the frames where desired.
Do the same with a lips element.

Open a glitter sparkle wave.
Resize 88%
Paste near the heart ribbon layer.
Move in layer palette to just below the heart layer.

Add your wordart or saying of choice.
Make sure to add a drop shadow.

Merge all layers visible.
Resize 88%
Add copyright info & name.
Save as jpeg or png.
